Shopify Town Hall

I led strategy and production for Shopify’s weekly Town Hall, live-streamed every Friday to all employees across the globe. I ran the editorial calendar and I wrote and produced both the live and pre-recorded video content, as well as hosting the show.

I increased participation by working with the executive team to identify and highlight the most important narratives across the company. I led the team in a revamp of the program that resulted in a new seasonal format and localized streaming events, building a more inclusive program that represented all employees no matter where they were based.


Hosting the News Desk

For two years in a row I hosted the News Desk as part of Shopify's annual employee conference. Streamed alongside the main-stage programming to all remote employees globally, we featured interviews with company executives as well as the CEO.

With the goal of engaging remote employees in a fun (jackets!) and meaningful way, we succeeded wildly in meeting employees where they are by giving a special experience to those who couldn't attend in person



A Holiday Party for Entrepreneurs

I project managed communications for the "holiday party for entrepreneurs," hosted by Shopify and Martha Stewart, one of the world's most iconic businesswomen.

Alongside the festivities, we hosted walkthroughs and interviews for media, highlighting the power of entrepreneurship to change lives and celebrating the hard work it takes to build and grow a brand. See it live


Love at First Sale

With the goal of building reputation among a consumer audience, we commissioned a survey about dating and entrepreneurship and partnered with Tinder to feature the inspirational story of two entrepreneurs who met on the app and successfully grew a business together.

By filling a storytelling gap in the media coverage, we featured their fun and heartwarming story to build association between the Shopify brand and the unifying power of entrepreneurship. See it live


The Shopify Effect

I project managed communications for The Shopify Effect, a campaign to highlight the combined global impact of the businesses on the Shopify platform. We commissioned a comprehensive economic study and illustrated the the results with examples of small businesses from across the globe.

Built with a cohesive visual brand that emphasized the interconnected and personal nature of the Shopify Effect, we included the stories of small businesses making a meaningful impact on their communities, and by extension, the world. See it live


The Gift Better Guide

I led the workstream for the Shopify influencers portion of this social and brand campaign. With the Gift Better Guide, we made it easy for consumers to seek out local, independently owned businesses to support during their holiday shopping.

Featured on the Shop app, Shoppers could browse over 150+ hand-selected gifts picked by their favorite influencers and curators. And for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, we offset 100% of shipping emissions from the orders of every brand. See it live
